ABOUT MEHi, I'm IzzieI am an actor, presenter and writer from Leeds with 20 years performing experience. I pride myself on continually training and developing new creative skills so my credits are diverse.
I work regularly in screen, theatre, radio, events and medical role play, whilst also developing my own solo show devised entirely from spoken word. I love what I do and feel incredibly lucky to be working in this crazy industry! When I'm not in front of a camera, I like to travel, wild swim, and embroider - not at the same time! |

Service with a Smile - my debut solo show
|
Over the past couple of years, I have been developing what started as a poem and ultimately became my first ever solo play. Service with a Smile is written entirely in spoken word and shares my experiences of imposter syndrome working as a cleaner to pursue my creative vocation as a working class actor. A first draft was shortlisted by 509 Arts' Wordsmithery competition in August 2023, secured me a place in Freedom Studio's Writers' Group in October 2023, and was lucky enough to be shared in the Bradford Voices Showcase at Mind the Gap in March 2024. Now, my goal is to secure funding to R&D and tour this piece. I have a lot to learn but I'm really excited to develop skills in theatre production and professional writing.
